Another attachment for the Multifork Pro is the profile spade | soil sampler.
It is ideal for seeing how topdressing and deep loosening positively affect soil conditions or for inspecting the turf support layer.
The samples are taken using a profile spade. It is simply inserted straight into the ground like a normal spade and then pulled out again.
The profile spade is then detached from the handle and opened. One side of the profile spade is pulled out, leaving the sample in the other half.
This allows for an optimal assessment of soil conditions - composition, root penetration, density, etc.
Then half of it, containing the sample, is simply placed back into the excavated soil.
